This week: Trump :"it's not real" "it's not urgent"; A Beautifull Planet 3D and more...

Dear Readers,

It's not the best of times for our planet. Donald Trump, by making his country leave the Paris Climate Deal, has made probably one of the worse political decisions towards Climate Change ever. The USA are one of the most polluting countries in the world, and he does not seem to be interested in changing that. He sees climate change as something that is "not real" and "not urgent". THIS IS WRONG!! Climate change is an issue that is very existent, that we need to deal with now, we will soon reach a threshold from where we WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TURN BACK. We are left to wonder if Donald Trump really can't see beyond his naive nose, or if he has a stupid enough mindset to believe that he will be gone before anything happens and people realise his mistake. That is greed for power.

A great demonstration of the effects of climate change is the IMAX movie A Beautifull Planet 3D, currently showing in IMAX cinemas. From the International Space Station, we can easily see the disastrous consequences of our actions, the blank patches in the massive forests, the plumes of white smoke that billow across them. When we see the earth at night, we also have a great representation of the amounts of energy that we use every second, even just in lights.

What we need to remember, is that laws won't stop us from fighting climate change ourselves. Industries need to hold the same stance as was imposed on them during the USA's participation in the Paris Climate Deal, and we need to boycott the companies that are taking advantage of Trump's withdrawal to use "non-green" resources and methods for their productions. We can still fight our fight without laws, we can still save our home from the state we have brought it to.

See you in the next one,
Mr Big T

Welcome, Planet Killer

Welcome to my Earth blog. I will be posting weekly on the effect our species has and had on our once beautiful planet. For years, humans have exploited the resources of our planet, completely neglecting the problems these actions caused: we have filled the air that surrounds us with harming particles and gases, we cut down 1 and a half acres of forest every second, we are constantly ripping out resources from our planet, that we very well know won't just reappear. Why you ask? Because we are too self-indulging to think about the future, too naive to believe that leaving that light on won't make much difference, too greedy to spend that little extra on an electric car and most importantly too ignorant of the consequences of our actions. The problem is, all those "qualities" are human.
Dear reader, I recently discovered a little story that demonstrates the insanity of our actions really well, here goes: Imagine you were in a spaceship, flying through space with a limited amount of food, water and energy. And then you just decided to put all the food, water and batteries into the airlock and open it.When Earth received the spaceship's final log, including videos of what you did, what would they think? Well, they'd think you'd gone mad, and frankly, so would anyone. So please explain why the human race is doing the same stupid thing to our much bigger spaceship?! If there was some life out there in the deepest reaches of space, and they came upon our planet, what would they think? .,. Exactly. If you need to convince someone of the existence of climate change or explain what it is, then that should help you. In other news, Donald Trump has opened his first Coal mine in Pennsylvania, confirming that we should have got to him before he got to our planet. A
